Meet Gira Patel

Ayurveda, Sanskrit for "science of life", is an ancient Indian system of
medicine that balances the body, mind, and spirit to promote overall health
as well as improve immune strength to prevent disease. Using a holistic
approach, Ayurveda considers your unique physical, mental,
and emotional makeup, as well as your lifestyle and environment. Meet
Gira Patel, a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner dedicated to helping
people achieve optimal health and wellbeing.

Born and raised in West India within a family dedicated to natural medicine,
Gira developed an early interest and strong belief in the power of the
body’s ability to heal itself. She acquired her master’s degree from the
University of Rajasthan in Biological Sciences and then moved to
Jacksonville, FL in 2007 to pursue a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from
University of North Florida.

Along with her love for nutrition, she knew it was time to step it up and
expand her passion for natural healing. She completely immersed herself
in Ayurveda to facilitate the body’s ability to heal itself naturally. Gira went
on to pursue a master’s in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine from
Maharishi International University. She is also Board Certified  by the
National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA).

Gira is passionate about sharing the wisdom of Ayurveda with others and

founded First Coast Ayurveda to offer health and lifestyle coaching and

empower you to take control of your health and well being. She believes

that Ayurveda has the power to help you transform  lives and help people

achieve their full potential, bringing the vitality that we all crave.

Gira also passionately pursues Ayurvedic cooking and loves spending her
free time gardening in her backyard,  growing herbs, spices, fruits,
and vegetables. She skillfully creates her own herbal and oil formulas
using recipes from ancient Ayurveda classical texts. She is open
to new holistic techniques and loves to study how to integrate ancient
wisdom with today’s scientific research to bring you time honored and

relevant health resources.

Why Naturopathy

Why Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is a traditional system of medicine practiced for thousands of years in India that successfully restores one's health. It is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body and spirit and begins from within each of us.

Digestion

In Ayurveda our digestive system is referred to as our agni, or digestive fire. Our agni is the ultimate force of intelligence within our body. According to Ayurveda, a strong agni is essential for health, happiness, vitality, and strength in all areas of our lives.

Fatigue

Fatigue is caused by an imbalance in the body's three doshas - Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Ayurveda works to harmonize our internal and external worlds bringing back balance to our whole being.

Pulse Diagnostic

Nadi Pariksha is the ancient Ayurvedic technique of diagnosis through the pulse. It can accurately diagnose physical, mental and emotional imbalances.

Women's Health

Ayurveda offers a holistic approach to women's health care that balances a woman's physical, emotional, and spiritual needs throughout the different seasons of her life.

Weight Loss

Ayurvedic weight management is a sustainable holistic process, i.e., it can be carried on for a lifetime without side effects.

Stress

The Ayurvedic approach to stress management improves relaxation of the body and mind. It does this by relieving and freeing stress from deep within the Nervous System.
